New York Fashion Week: Alexander Wang Autumn/Winter 14
Riding boots and colourful hues
Held at a Navy Yard in Brooklyn, Alexander Wang's Autumn/Winter 2014 show gained attention for its unusual choice of location. Despite the not-so-easy-to-get-to setting, fashion spectators made the journey in full force.
During the packed out show, Wang sent models down the catwalk complete with sleek, page boy hair styles, accompanied by a collection that appeared to gather inspiration from a range of different sources.
Over-the-knee riding boots featuring a white rubber soul featured throughout, along with fashion that included preppy school shorts, silk shirts and utilitarian pieces.
His effortlessly chic looks included a model dressed in a deep red astrakhan fur top teamed with loose-fitted white trousers.
A rotating catwalk featuring 12 models dressed in luxurious leather looks, featuring stencil-style designs in an array of different hues, was another show highlight.
