New Balance suing Karl Lagerfeld over shoe design
The German designer steps on the wrong feet
On Wednesday, a New Balance spokeswoman said that a lawsuit had been filed "against Karl Lagerfeld to protect our intellectual property rights related to our iconic Lifestyle footwear designs. Although we cannot comment on the specifics of the case, we believe it is vital to actively and vigorously defend our brand."
New Balance claims that Lagerfeld has used a block capital "K" in place of its famous "N" logo on the new style of the $370 trainers from his eponymous line.
