There's currently nothing more fashionable than keeping fit – a trend that hasn't gone unnoticed by the eCommerce pioneers, behind online fashion retailer,

Buro 24/7 Middle East were amongst the first to report on the rumours that Net-a-porter would launch an activewear-centric edit back in April, and today these rumours have become reality.

Natalie Massenet's brainchild will launch its cannily titled 'Net-a-sporter' dedicated to activewear  on July 9. The new division is expected to feature everything that a fitness enthusiast could possibly want: gym clothes, casual sportswear, trainers, and accessories to boot.

"The initial idea for Net-a-sporter only came about six months ago," Net-a-porter president Alison Loehnis told The Telegraph. "We already carry some great activewear brands, such as Adidas by Stella McCartney, Lucas Hugh and Nike and we wanted to build on our offering and broaden our buy to create a dedicated category for sport."

Net-a-sporter will showcase over 37 brands covering 11 sports including tennis, golf, running, yoga, dancing, and swimming. With the official word being: "Introducing sportswear as chic as everything else in your closet. From the smartest tennis looks to precision running pants and a dedicated area for après-workout - this is sport with style." Get ready gym bunnies!
