Natalia Vodianova and Karlie Kloss to stage London fundraiser
During London Fashion Week
Following the news yesterday that Naomi Campbell will open London Fashion Week (LFW) will her charitable cause for the Ebola virus – Fashion for Relief – another model turned philanthropist has announced a fundraiser for the UK capital.
32-year-old Russian beauty Natalia Vodianova has revealed her plans to host a 'fun fair' at the Roundhouse in Camden in aid of her Naked Heart Foundation. Co-hosted with fellow model Karlie Kloss, 'The World’s First Fabulous Fund Fair' is set to take place in London on February 24 and aims to raise £1 million for the charitable cause.
"This fun fair will have all the elements that excited and thrilled us when we were children, like ice cream, junk food and attractions, but it will also involve all the brands and personalities that we love as adults," said Vodianova of the news.
The event will feature a Guerlain Super Model 'kissing booth', whilst makeup maestro Pat McGrath will be on hand to 'face paint' and Christian Louboutin will host a 'high-heeled Olympics'. Well-known vegetarian Stella McCartney will also provide a 'Veggie Hot Dogs Stand', and the evening's co-host – Karlie Kloss – will be handing out 'Karlie's Kookies', her eponymous vegan, gluten-free cookie range.
Around 500 guests are expected to attend the event, and there are a limited number of tickets for sale now priced at £1,000. The Naked Heart Foundation works with special needs children and their families – providing play areas in Russia and around the world. To date, Vodianova's foundation has built 136 play parks across the globe.
