Moschino and Thomas Tait confirmed as guest designers for Pitti Uomo
Jeremy Scott's menswear debut at the Florentine showcase
Moschino and Thomas Tait will be enjoying the limelight at Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence this June, as guest designers. The seasonal menswear showcase has selected Moschino to show as a guest designer for menswear, which will be a first for the brand since new creative director Jeremy Scott took the creative reigns at the lively label. Whilst Tait will be the guest womenswear designer.
Speaking of the Moschino appointment Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti said: "We see the humour, the irreverence, the tendency to explode myths, and the manipulation of pop iconography – all that we know to be a part of Franco Moschino's spirit and designs," he went to note the modernity of Scott's creative vision:"There is also lots of originality in his work. He seems to have a sort of special sensor focused on our times."
Scott also expressed his excitement at taking up the invitation and added some excitement for the shows venue. "I am honoured to accept the invitation to show my Moschino menswear collection in Florence for Pitti Uomo. I am looking forward to showing in one of the world's most beautiful and culturally rich cities."
