Moda Operandi has revealed what we're all searching for the season ahead
Moda Operandi has analysed more than 120 of its trunkshows to produce its first ever runway report.
According to WWD, the report "aims to forecast next season's fashion trends, shopping behaviours, and geo patterns" by analysing consumer shopping behaviour on the site.
It has identified several key terms that are on the rise for the season ahead and the trends to keep an eye on are tie dye, headbands, trench coats, feathers and pearls, whilst velvet, sequins, leopard and corsets are on the decline. It also found that "Long & Lean" styles from the likes of The Row and Proenza Schouler were popular for F/W '19 and that "Animal Instinct", specifically zebra print, was also a key sartorial player. Additionally, accessories are strong for Fall with embellished handbags and footwear feeding into a "preference for glamour" from shoppers.
