The Costume Institute announce dress code for next Met Gala
"White Tie and Decorations"
Last year's exhibition at the Costume Institute, Punk: Chaos and Couture, saw celebrities in complete devotion to the theme's rebellious style, as Hollywood's most well-known stars were seen sporting purple hair, feathered Mohawk head pieces and studded leather jackets.
Now thanks to the Charles James: Beyond Fashion exhibition, this year's dress code for the fashion-filled night will be "White Tie and Decorations" – encouraging guests to look elegant and dapper in contrast to last year's punk-inspired outfits.
The Met Gala will be held on Monday, May 5 in New York and will celebrate the opening of the Charles James exhibition as well as the new Anna Wintour Costume Center. With each ticket costing $25,000 per person, the night is set to be highly exclusive and extremely high-fashion.
