Milan Fashion Week: Marni Autumn/Winter 14
The Marni woman is chic as always, but this season she's got more up her sleeve - she's artsy and flamboyant, but not in an over the top way.
Featuring patterns by longtime Marni collaborator German artist Mangus Plessen, and whimsical feathered coats and skirts, the nomad spirit was evident this season.
Designer Consuelo Castiglioni showcased a strong collection of architectural looks, comprised of voluminous silhouettes, ruffles and layering, as well as floral prints and patterns - brought to life in a rich colour palette of pine green, pink, royal blue and nudes.
Fur was another key feature, making its way onto a bolero, caper and vibrant multicoloured coat. A minimal vibe was also on offer via simple pieces such as athletic trousers teamed with sweatshirts, making Marni yet another brand to explore the sportswear trend for Autumn/Winter 14.
