Marchesa cancels New York Fashion Week runway show

More changes
The duo behind Marchesa have just announced that they are the latest designers opting out of New York Fashion Week. Here's why...

With just two weeks to go before New York Fashion Week begins, there have been several changes implemented to the schedule already. Whilst Australian designer Alice McCall and Tom Ford have decided to showcase their new seasonal collection in New York, it seems that even more designers are opting out (think Alexander Wang and Jenny Packham).

Now, another brand has cancelled its runway show but this time, it’s for a different reason.

Slated for a show on February 14, 2018, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have cancelled Marchesa‘s show just months after allegations against Chapman’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Harvey Weinstein were made public (and subsequently kicking off the Time’s Up movement).

According to the New York Post, a new format will take place for the Fall/Winter ’18 collection reveal, however no further details have been announced just yet.
