Madewell launches extended sizing

Yes!
Yet another label is listening to what women want...

The fashion industry has long been criticised for its lack of inclusion but it seems that several brands are coming to the realisation that they need to make a change and expand their size offerings.

Following in the footsteps of cult US label Reformation (which expanded its size range earlier this year and apologised for not doing so earlier) and J.Crew (who teamed up with Universal Standard to create a capsule collection that offers sizes from XXS to 5X), another contemporary brand has just launched extended sizing.

J.Crew’s sister label, Madewell, first dipped into the plus-size market earlier this year and took their denim sizes up from a 32 to a 35. However, customers were not impressed with the fit and now, the brand is continuing their efforts to properly extend their sizes with the launch of its Fall ’18 collection.

According to Fashionista, “the brand consulted with “third party fit experts” to ensure that the latest pieces from the extended size range would fit as they should. Denim now ranges from size 23 to size 37, with other garments now offered from an XXS to a 3x.”

Madewell’s new plus-size autumnal collection is now available online at Madewell.com
