Louis Vuitton opens stunning boutique at London's Heathrow Airport
The new 301 square metre store, dedicated to the French fashion house's travel heritage, will include the usual assortment of Louis Vuitton goods, including leather accessories, women's ready to wear and shoes, fine jewellery and watches.
The exterior of the Heathrow store will also boast an installation by Ange Leccia whose iconic work has been showcased at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Gugghenheim Museum in New York. Nicolas Ghesquière commissioned the artist and filmmaker to create a visual installation for the store, with Leccia calling it 'Giraglia' (inspired by the Mediterranean Sea).
The film will be presented on a digital screen set within the façade of the store, as the the store front is decorated with panels of metallic striped glass which the brand calls "fins". The interior also boats beautiful design elements and a bold colours, from light leathers and wood to antique brass metalwork.
