London Fashion Week: Vivienne Westwood Red Label Autumn/Winter 14
Tartan and bowler hats
2/17/14, 1:00 PM
Nipped-in waists and tartan were defining elements for Vivienne Westwood, who presents a collection for a “posh and well-looked after” woman
Vivienne Westwood noted her Autumn/Winter 14 collection was focused on dressing a "posh, privileged, looked-after, very English woman." With that in mind, the British designer sent her models down the catwalk fashioned in garments with nipped-in waists and draped tailoring.

The show opened with a Harris tweed coat, and tartan seemed to be the print of preference as it appeared in various styles teamed with white shirts and bowler hats. Pinstripe suits styled with shades and black tights offered a 80s vibe – which was strengthened with velvet pantaloons, cropped trousers and fur-trimmed shorts.
