Lanvin's team left to create next collection solo

Alber Elbaz's team in work wake

The unexpected departure of Lanvin's Alber Elbaz now means the house's design staff must prepare the next collection without a chief creative

After the departure of Alber Elbaz from Lanvin this week, a new wave of news has rocked one of Paris' most influential design houses: the 330 employees left in the Creative Director's wake will now join creative forces and prepare a pre-fall 2016 collection alone.

Among those championing the collaboration are Chemenu Kamali, an in-house women's wear designer and a graduate of London's Saint Martins as well as Lucho Finale, a designer of shoes and handbags who attended the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli before embarking on stints at Givenchy and Valentino. These two talented emerging designers bring hope that the future of Lanvin is in creative (and fashionable) hands.
