Karl Lagerfeld to launch his own newspaper

Chanel’s creative director plans to distribute his very own newspaper, The Karl Daily, with the new publication set to hit newsstands on September 20 in seven European cities

The unique newspaper will feature articles about Karl Lagerfeld's workaholic nature and news about various product lines from the designer, such as candles, watches, fragrances and leather goods. A comic strip, street style photos and a list of 'haute' spots will also be spread across pages in the Karl Daily. Choupette, the couturier's pet cat, will even be serving as a guest editor and reporter  adding some tongue-in-cheek elements to the fashion-based read. 

The Karl Daily will only be sold in seven European cities where the designer operates freestanding stores for his signature brand, with distribution to follow in China in the following weeks, as well as copies landing in select stores, hotels and other swanky spots.

The newspaper will also showcase Lagerfeld's new Autumn/Winter campaign picturing model Kati Nescher posing in a mock newsstand filled with copies of The Karl Daily. Backed with window displays, contests and digital components on social media and Karl.com, Lagerfeld's newest venture is sure to make headlines.
