Kenzo Takada, founder of the eponymous high fashion label, Kenzo, was officially knighted during a ceremony at the Constitutional Council building in Paris on Thursday. Takada was named a knight in the Legion of Honour, France's highest civilian decoration, for his outstanding achievements in fashion.

Aside from his own label, which has since expanded from fashion into perfumes and skincare, Takada is also the Honorary President of the Asian Couture Federation, tasked with bringing Asian designers and labels into the international spotlight.
