Just in: Time's 100 Most Influential List, includes Middle Eastern influencers
Time's annual top '100 Most Influential People' list has just been unveiled and this year it includes pioneers, titans, artists, leaders and icons including Karlie Kloss, Caitlyn Jenner, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Priyanka Chopra and three influencers from the Middle East, the Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Muhammed Bin Nayef, Ibtihaj Muhammed and Nadia Murad.
On the pioneering front, Iraqi-born activist Nadia Murad lands on the list this year after being nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize on January 5, 2016 for her contribution to fighting violence against women and girls.
While the Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Muhammed Bin Nayef, earned his place on the list for fighting terrorism, African-American athlete Ibtihaj Muhammed will be the first Muslim women to compete at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in fencing.
From the fashion industry, Karlie Kloss was honoured by luxury fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg, who said: "Karlie Kloss is the epitome of the ideal American millennial woman." Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci was also welcomed into the fashion pack with a spot on the list under the artists category, along with Chinese couturier Guo Pei, actress Charlize Theron, actors Idris Elba and Leonardo DiCaprio and musicians Ariana Grande and Kendrick Lamar.
