Mary Katrantzou and Alice Temperley head down the consumer-based path as they're set to show for the public post London Fashion Week...

It's been one month since the CFDA announced that the future of Fashion Week, and how New York Fashion Week in particular, could become a cosumer-based set-up. Now, London designers are follow suit including Temperley and Mary Katrantzou, who have announced they'll now be showing at London Fashion Weekend — a public and ticket-bought event following on from London Fashion Week in February, 2016.

Held at London's Saatchi Gallery, The British Fashion Council have confirmed that each designer will be able to showcase their collections on a specified day over the weekend, with shows being repeated two to four times throughout the day. "We've seen an increase in interest from both global and British brands to be involved with London Fashion Weekend, as the event offers the opportunity to reach a targeted and focused consumer audience of more than 16,000 people," said a British Fashion Council spokesman.

London Fashion Weekend will take place on February 25-28, 2016.
