Hedi Slimane wins case against Kering
It's a closed case
The lawsuit between Yves Saint Laurent's former Creative Director, Hedi Slimane and Kering has been settled, with a payout of Dhs47.7 million to the designer. The court's orders followed after Slimane sued the French luxury goods company – which owns Yves Saint Laurent – in relation to a non-compete clause. The clause was initially dropped following Slimane's exit from the French Maison earlier this year, allowing him to join a competitor but not claim any financial payments from Saint Laurent. However, Slimane had sought to reinstate the clause, suggesting that he would be taking time off the fashion world.
