Gucci unveils James Franco directed ad

Actor teams up with Italian fashion house for new video

Today, Gucci unveils its new ad for its Spring/Summer 14 collection of sunglasses with a glamorous video directed by James Franco, who is also seen starring in it

Continuing his collaboration with Gucci — the multitalented actor, director and writer —   James Franco has recently directed the video for the Italian luxury label's new sunglasses collection.

Franco who is currently the face of Gucci's eyewear — produced by Safilo — has also previously appeared in campaigns for the label's men's fragrances and made-to-measure tailoring.

Titled 'Techno Colour Sunglasses', the short film stars the actor himself alongside Italian model Natalia Bonifacci, and was shot at the legendary Los Angeles hotel, Chateau Marmont. The old-Hollywood inspired film shows Franco and Bonifacci in a series of luxuriously captured moments, ending with the couple disappearing in a retro-sports car.
