Six different covers and six different stars for Interview's September issue
Photographers and their muses
One of the world's largest fashion publications will have six different covers for its upcoming September issue. Interview magazine tapped six iconic photographers, who chose women that they felt represented beauty, to shoot for the magazine's multiple covers.
Steven Klein selected Nicole Kidman, Craig McDean chose Amber Valletta, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott tapped Naomi Campbell, Patrick Demarchelier picked Keira Knightley, Peter Lindbergh selected Léa Seydoux and Mikael Jansson shot Daria Werbowy.
Each photographer got to showcase their unique style, "It was like doing six cover shoots," said Interview editor in chief Keith Pollock, of the six different copies of the September issue. "There were no restrictions. There was a lot of travel. We shot in Sweden, Ibiza, London, Paris, New York. No photographer was in the same place."
Inside the issue, each gorgeous muse interviewed the photographer on their vision, except in the case of Mert and Marcus, who were interviewed by Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci.
