Paris Haute Couture SS15: Schiaparelli
Under the creative direction of Jean-Paul Goude
Today in the French capital, French graphic designer, illustrator and advertising film guru Jean-Paul Goude brought the famed Italian fashion house back to the forefront of the fashion scene, presenting a beautifully creative SS15 Haute Couture collection born from Elsa Schiaparelli's codes of design.
With the added help of Schiaparelli spokeswoman and a former model Farida Khelfa – who was often in front of Goude's lens – the 22 new designs were tailored, fun and bold. Vivid gestures and details were seen throughout the lineup as fluid dresses featured youthful prints of hands, hearts, sewing pins or stars and tailored suits came with a clean-cut eccentricity.
With the colours of the collection rich and warm, as fuchsia, orange, green, red and black, filled the hot pink runway, the designs came with headpieces from fez hats to hoods, which a played a large role in the new Schiaparelli looks – further echoing Goude's daring, cultured and undeniably wearable Haute Couture vision.
