Change is in the air in Paris this week, as the curtain lifts on fashion's most prestigious week of shows

With fresh collaborations, the results of recent creative director appointments and the emergence of new names, Haute Couture SS14 looks set to impress fashion design devotees on many levels.

One of the most highly anticipated shows of the coming week is the first collection from Marco Zanini for iconic comeback couture house, Schiaparelli. The Rochas designer moved labels in September last year to revive the work of Elsa Schiaparelli, who was once Coco Chanel's greatest rival.

Another historic house undergoing a facelift happens on Tuesday, which welcomes the work of British-Cypriot designer Hussein Chalayan after his recent appointment at French stalwart, Vionnet. The end of the week sees further international highlights when Chinese designer Yiqing Yin shows after Elie Saab on Wednesday, with the Middle East also represented on Thursday via Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad's finale presentation.
