Frenchman Jean Paul Gaultier dedicated his latest Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 14 show to nocturnal creatures: That means forget butterflies, this is a collection made from the stuff that scares children before bed at night. 

Horror-inspired creatures, the living dead, and a gothic maiden with painfully sunken eyes all made their presence known, creating a performance of pure entertainment as well as high fashion. Gaultier's heroines had the appeal of True Blood characters – and so it was fitting that when it came to the glittering, gothic finale, the looks transpired to be as hard to resist as the red stuff is to a vampire...
