The Italian fashion house will soon be taking a trip to outer space with a series of “whispering” shop windows for Harrods – designed around astronomy

Following on from the theme of the brand's Autumn/Winter 14 show, Ermenegildo Zegna Couture will be creating 23 window displays at Harrods, London  filling them with the beautiful creations from Stefano Pilati.

The window designs were inspired by a short film depicting journeys from outer space to cities on three continents – which was also screened during Zegna Couture's last show in Milan.

Set to be unveiled today until October 19, the displays will feature fast revolving mannequins meant to reflect the rapid pace of city life set against faded metropolitan backdrops. While another window will have digital version of the brand's Double Monk shoe rotating and responding to the movement of passersby on Brompton Road, outside the store. The "sounds of space"and of Tchaikovsky will also be heard, thanks to some unique technology.

Coinciding with the unveiling of the windows, the brand has also created new accessories, including Pilati's first bag for Zegna  The Couture Bag  exclusive to Harrods
