Guillaume Henry confirmed as new creative director for Nina Ricci
Replacing Peter Copping
The young French designer has affirmed suspicion of his next move, and will remain creative director of Carven until the end of November. He now replaces Peter Copping at Nina Ricci – who is expected to confirm his move to Oscar de la Renta in due course.
President of Puig fashion division, the company that owns Nina Ricci, Ralph Toledano has stated that Henry's "artistic vision, intuition, intelligence, charisma and curiosity" would realise "great ambitions for the brand".
Henry has enjoyed a successful five year tenure at Carven, during which time he changed the fortunes of the fashion house, breathing new life into the brand. He will take up the new position on January 5 and is predicted to show his first collection for Ricci a month later for Autumn/Winter 15.
