Gucci continue to instigate new changes following the departure of its creative director of a decade – Frida Giannini – announcing just one showcase for the upcoming Milan Fashion Week, as opposed to its usual two-way split for buyers and press

Following its first show without Frida Giannini steering its ship in January, when the luxury Italian fashion house staged its menswear show with Alessandro Michele at the helm – Gucci have revealed further changes for the New Year.

Later this month at Milan Fashion Week, instead of its usual two-show presentation – splitting buyers and press – Gucci will showcase its new womenswear collection for Autumn/Winter 15 in just one single show.

The one-time show, which will see buyers and press combined for the first time, is scheduled to take place on Feburary 25 according to the Milan Fashion Week calendar.

An official comment on the change is yet to be announced, but sources say that Gucci is likely to keep up the change for its future womenswear collections, as the power of social media means that a single show for all is more impactful.
