Today Gucci is expected to officially confirm Alessandro Michele as its new creative director, after its head honcho for a decade – Frida Giannini – quit at the end of 2014 and made an early exit mid January.

Buro 24/7 were among the first to report that Michele was likely to take up the coveted role at the Italian fashion house, after reports surfaced that the 42-year-old creative, who has been with Gucci since 2002 might be replacing Giannini.

Michele made his first appearance on the Gucci runway on Monday, after he and his team completely re-did the Gucci Autumn/Winter 15 show in Milan.

Gucci are yet to officially confirm his replacement, and Buro 24/7 will of course, keep you posted.
