An exhibition on Givenchy's model muse to launch during MFW
Dedicated to Simone Micheline Bodin
At one time, 'Bettina' (a nickname given to Bodin by designer Jacques Fath) was the most photographed woman in France. In a new exhibition, which will be held in the Galleria Carla Sozzani during Milan Fashion Week, will display more than a hundred such images, which once belonged to the likes of Jean-Philippe Charbonnier, Henry Clarke, Erwin Blumenfeld, and Irving Penn.
Simone Micheline Bodin was one of the most popular models of the past century, having not only worked with Coco Chanel and Christian Dior, she was also the muse of Hubert de Givenchy, way before the more modern icons of the house as they look today.
The exhibition will be held from September 16 to November 2.
