First look: Givenchy Cruise 2016
Riccardo Tisci benches black for the Givenchy Cruise 2016 collection, taking on a palette of soft olivey pistachio green, pink and beige with moments of crisp white. The collection is shot in a central London street lookbook, enhancing this concept of 'wardrobe,' which Tisci mentions in his show notes, and is very much a buzz word amongst the LVMH family at present. The idea is to demonstrate, wearability.
Givenchy retains it femininity and focus on form, with cinched jackets and dresses with touches of looser bomber styles, but all are punctuated with large disc buttons. The animal print is the resounding motif of the season, coming in a green combination as well as a beige and pink version. It's bold and urban and is applied across dresses, jackets, coats and skirts.
