First look: Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2015

The tailored hippie

Channelling what seems to be his favourite era, Giambattista Valli took the free-spirited vibes of the late sixties and infused it with a chic modernity for his Pre-Fall 15 lineup

Wool embroidered flared trousers in a psychedelic print were worn with a lace top and a leopard print over coat for the more casual Valli girl, while the Italian designer created a series of structured minidresses with floral embroideries and paisley prints for the uptown socialite.

Pre-Fall 15 saw clashing prints in a multitude of bold colours – red, orange and pink – with more classic silhouettes also making an appearance in the shape of graphic chiffon maxidresses worn with long, shaggy fur jackets. Knee-high boots in black lace, floral prints, and gold button detailing also added to the retro mood, with an appending sense of modern ease coming through Giambattista Valli's small messenger bags.
