Gareth Pugh to show Autumn/Winter 2015 at London Fashion Week
Celebrating 10 years
Set to take place in the UK capital in February, London Fashion Week (LFW) will welcome back the Gareth Pugh show for its AW15 season. The British designer will celebrate 10 years of business in 2015, and has stated that the AW15 show will not be a one-off, and that he is returning to LFW for good.
The 33-year-old designer usually shows his collections in Paris, however, last September he took his collection to New York Fashion Week.
Pugh has been provisionally allocated February 21 at 8pm as his LFW show date. The British Fashion Council (BFC) is expected to confirm the LFW show calendar later this week.
“I never really left London — I’ve lived and worked here forever, and there was always going to be a time when I came back,” Pugh said. “And my creative family are all here. My first show was in February 2005 with Fashion East, and it seemed like the appropriate time to come back.”
The Brit also hinted that the show will be exciting in more ways than one – stating that the venue will be a secret for now, but that it will be a “big surprise.”
The designer recently debuted a Christmas tree collaboration with the V&A in London, telling WWD: “I feel very much in a great place right now. There is no one telling me what to do – it’s still me deciding – and that’s a nice feeling,” adding: “I did it my way.”
