Famed French department store – Galeries Lafayette – has announced its plans to auction off a selection of fashion designer sketches all in the name of charity. Know what we know here…

Just in time for Paris Fashion Week, Galeries Lafayette will auction off a series of fashion designer sketches for the nonprofit organisation Care...

The famed French department store has collaborated with nine iconic designers including Julien David, Phillip Lim, Rick Owens, Guillaume Henry (whose Nina Ricci sketch is pictured above), Alessandro dell'Acqua, Roksanda Ilincic, Mary Katrantzou, Pascal Millet and Chantal Thomass. 

From now until October 4, visitors can view the sketches, which are all numbered and signed by the designers, inside the exhibition space on the first floor of the Galeries Lafayette flagship in Paris.

Bids for the sketches can be placed online at, proceeds from the auction will go to Care – a charity that aims to fight global poverty and help change unethical working conditions for women.
