First look: Rochas, Cédric Charlier and Alberta Ferretti
The Boboli Gardens in Florence proved to be quite the starting point for Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s super-pretty Rochas Cruise 2014/15 collection. The designer played with strong colours and volume, all of which somehow came across as charmingly light and petal-like. A grass-green double-faced cashmere jacket was shown with a full lace skirt encrusted with crystals, as well as several sundresses, giving a truly enchanted garden feel.
Taking cues from a Greek vacation – as well as "colourful carpets", Cédric Charlier’s latest line up has an effortless nonchalance. Made up of super soft fabrics and laid back silhouettes, Charlier has brought about a breezy charm alongside graphic patterns.
Positive vibes were key for Alberta Ferretti this season – creating a shiny, happy ode to the late 60s. Colours such as acid green, yellow and hot pink merge across shift dress silhouettes and retro-inspired pieces, while a maxi-length dress in various shades of purple promoted a type of 'hippie' appeal. Peter Pan collars and curlicue intarsia patterns also made it into the 'all the rage' category.
