This week Oscar de la Renta imbued his new collection with a salon presentation that ranged from elegant black-and-white looks to graphic tailored suits
A beautiful lineup appeared for the Cruise 2014/15 — as de la Renta kept within his specific, highly polished fashion world — showcasing styles that all women could wear, from daytime meetings and evening dinners to star-studded galas.
The show started with monochrome looks made from tweed, which progressed to modern metallic designs and large-scale floral embroideries done in silver thread. Classic, ladylike de la Renta silhouettes were infused with shorter hemlines, cropped tops and rompers for an edgier and more youthful appeal.
The ultra-feminine collection,that had a stunning colour palette of magenta, deep purple, black, coral and baby blue also featured, subtle lacework, beading and appliques.
