Sail away to Capri

Playing on balmy nights in Capri, designer Francesco Scognamiglio focussed on the islands love of cotton summer sun dresses

Francesco Scognamiglio paid homage to the island of Capri by reworking the town's traditional cotton day dresses, quite suitably for the Cruise 2014/15 season.

He also showed a black floor-length dress in a colourful Pop Art, Warhol-like floral pattern, while a crisp white dress featured beautifully voluminous sleeves and a nipped in elastic waistband.

White was obviously important, and Scognamiglio made use of his signature sexy silhouettes with the shade. A fitted silk gown in particular had a plunging neck trimmed with sequins, and a shorter style had elegantly long lace sleeves.
