Milan Fashion Week: Emilio Pucci Spring/Summer 15
The Dundas disco
A true 70s kid at heart, from the curly hair to avaiator glasses and rock 'n' roll atittute, Emilio Pucci's creative director made a point to showcase his own inspirations of everyday life in the Italian fashion house's Spring/Summer 15 lineup.
With models dressed as they were in a chic girl band from the disco decade, silhouettes were a juxtaposition of fluidity and linearity, as Dundas designed vibrant suits and sportswear as well as maxi dresses, in what he called a sunset-inspired palette.
The embellishments and prints – the bread and butter that made the Italian brand what it is today – were excessively exquisite and added the glitz and glam element to each look. Leather fringe adorned the sides of jackets, ponchos and slimming flared trousers while beaded crochet tops and colourful die-dye maxi-dresses which added the necessary free spirit aspect to the psychedelic show.
