Milan Fashion Week: Emilio Pucci Autumn/Winter 15
Written in the stars
No one is certain of what the future holds for Peter Dundas, with rumours of his departure prominent but ambiguous, his final creations for Pucci were clouded with nostalgia. Dundas brought back a few of the original models from his start at the Italian fashion house with, Karlie Kloss, Lily Donaldson, Iris Strugegger included. Displaying a horoscopic collection the Norwegian designer used zodiac symbol prints on demure evening gowns and embellished gold embroidered icons onto sophisticated floor length capes and jumper dresses.
Highlights included wide-leg crimson velvet pants, optical elusion looking monochrome outfits that opened the show and a cropped jacket with fringing, which lapped at the models elevated ankles. With the rumour mill churning out suggestions that the former Schiaparelli designer Marco Zanini will be replacing the edgy artistic director, all we know for certain is that whoever is to succeed him has there work cut out.
