First look: Ellery Pre-Fall 15

The golden years

Creative director Kym Ellery found her Pre-Fall inspirations in seventies vibes and David Bowie — from his Ziggy Stardust costumes to The Thin White Duke — most evident in the collection’s shimmering and textured fabrics

For Pre-Fall 15, in true Ellery format, silhouettes were exaggerated and clean cut as signature bell-bottoms featured the widest of flares and off-the-shoulder tops came with elongated bell sleeves.

Channelling the iconic Mr.Bowie, there were paisley brocades, gold lace prints, deep-blue velvets, metallic outerwear and gray tailored blazers and vests. Blouses were also more flamboyant, designed with high collars and long cuffs.

Kym Ellery even infused some of her own artistic gems into the collection with big blue ceramic buttons created by her artist mother – artisanal glamour at its best...
