DvF's 'Journey of a Dress' exhibit lands in Dubai this month
Travelled in style
Fresh from revealing her beautiful windows in Paris and launching her own reality show on the E! television network, Diane von Furstenberg's super-chic 'Journey of a Dress' exhibition is heading steadily towards the Middle East. It will feature a retrospective of 13 vintage and modern designs, chronicling the timeless wrap dress and what is becoming its very own epic adventure.
It's certainly a style which has come to symbolise independence and freedom for entire generations of women, enjoying its current time in the spotlight with help along the way from contemporary friends such as Emma Roberts.
"I was 26 when I created the wrap dress," says the now 66-year-old Diane von Furstenberg, "and I am thrilled to celebrate it now by bringing the Journey of a Dress to Dubai."
In addition, 11 wrap dresses from the fashion icon's Spring/Summer 15 collection will be available for sale to coincide with the exhibition to be held at Mall of The Emirates.
The exhibition will run from October 24–31. Admission is free. Follow the hashtag #JourneyofaDress for daily updates.
