Dream team: Team Canada's Dsquared2 Rio uniform
Opening ceremony couture
The Rio Olympics opening ceremony has just received a serious injection of style thanks to Team Canada and Dsquared2. Dean and Dan Caten have just announced that they've designed the uniforms for the olympic team, in collaboration with Hudson Bay, a well-known Canadian department store.
"We are constantly inspired by Canada, so it is an honour to partner with Hudson's Bay in dressing Team Canada," confirmed the Caten brothers. "The Opening Ceremony look is made with our passion for our birth country mixed with the energetic spirit of Dsquared2," they continued.
Liz Rodbell, President of Hudson's Bay discussed the looks too, explaining that the aim of the designer uniforms was to create a cool confident vibe. "The Opening Ceremony represents a moment of tremendous national pride for our athletes. We want them to feel strong and confident as they march into the stadium and we are excited that the Dsquared2-designed look will give them that extra boost of Canadian cool."
The Rio Olympics 2016 opening ceremony will take place on August 5. Stay connected to Buro 24/7 Middle East for more on this year's olympics.
