Is Dolce & Gabbana preparing to boycott Condé Nast?

Over dispute with Vanity Fair

It is rumoured that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are threatening to pull all advertising from Condé Nast publications if an article concerning their recent tax evasion charge runs...

Following on from an extravagant show in Capri to celebrate their Alta Moda collection (where plenty of Condé Nast editors were present) designers Dolce and Gabbana are rumoured to be in a row with the publishing house over an upcoming article in Vanity Fair about the pair's recent charge – and later being found guilty – of tax evasion.

It is said that they are so upset about the matter that the threat to pull tens of millions of dollars worth of advertising from Condé Nast has been made. They have also spoken with Anna Wintour, newly appointed Condé Nast editorial director, who has not been able to help their cause.

Nevertheless, Wintour was seen at the pair's recent Alta Moda presentation, which she is said to have attended "as a way of appeasing them without mortgaging the journalistic integrity of Condé Nast over killing the piece."

Stefano Gabbana took to his Instagram account last night to rubbish the rumours – posting a picture of the story from The Daily Mail's article with the comment "All lies". There's no smoke without fire, but only time will tell if there really is any substance to these reports...
