Dior begins longstanding sponsorship of The Princess Grace Foundation
A glamorous reign
Scheduled to take place in Beverly Hills in LA this year, Monaco in 2015 and New York in 2016, The Princess Grace Foundation has partnered with Christian Dior for its glamorous upcoming charity events, meaning that the fashion house is the sole presenting sponsor of the gala dinners.
This year's proceedings are planned to take place on October 8 and will be attended by Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, and marks the foundation's return to Los Angeles after almost three decades. The awards showcase Princess Grace Award winners and the Prince Rainier III honouree, each of which are yet to be revealed.
Dior has strong ties to Monaco that are still in place today having hosted its Cruise 2013/14 show there last year, before heading to Brooklyn this season – and indeed its relationship with the principality dates back to 1956, when actress Grace Kelly wore a white satin Dior gown at a ball celebrating her engagement to Prince Rainier III, going on to wear Dior on many occasions.
The brand's CEO Sidney Toledano will be a co-chair of the Los Angeles gala alongside his wife, Katia. "Our partnership with the Princess Grace Foundation-USA is deeply rooted in history and mutual admiration between the princely family of Monaco and the house of Dior. We both share the same pursuit of artistic excellence and are honoured to be a part of recognising the artistry of Princess Grace Award winners in theatre, dance and film," Toledano said.
