Following Alexander Wang's Autumn/Winter 14 show making the move out to Brooklyn earlier this year, Dior has announced that it too will host a show in the borough's Navy Yard for it's SS15 Cruise collection

The Autumn/Winter 14 season brought about much change to the world of fashion, not least in New York, when Alexander Wang decided to take things away from Manhattan – a relatively novel idea to the industry – and present his AW14 show in one of the city's other boroughs, Brooklyn. And now it seems that Christian Dior will do so too, on the announcement that its SS15 Cruise collection will be hosted at the same venue, the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The label is no stranger to travelling away from its Parisian home.

"We wanted the show to feel very New York, and the Navy Yard's view and space captures the city," a spokesperson for Dior told WWD.

Many journalists and buyers complained following their past experience with the location, and to placate their demands, the French label is offering a car service or ferry to the spot, should guests require assistance.
