Members of the CFDA have designed helmets for the Super Bowl
Diane von Furstenburg, Nicole Miller, Betsey Johnson, Dennis Basso & more
A project has developed for the final Super Bowl that will take place in New York later on in the year - designed by all America's beloved designers - 48 football helmets will be created in total. Diane von Furstenburg has opted for a leopard painted helmet, Nicole Miller has graced hers with stripes and flowers, Betsey Johnson has gone for roses, and Dennis Basso improved on the traditional model of a real fur Mohawk design. Georgina Chapman of Marchesa added gothic black embroidery and crystals, and interestingly Chapman is also said to have known absolutely nothing about football until she married her husband Harvey Weinstein:
"He is a true fan of Jets, said the designer, "in general it was a lot of fun, because football helmets do not look like what we normally do for Marchesa."
