Delpozo has finally addressed rumours concerning its new head of design...

Last week, rumours began to swirl that Delpozo had found a replacement for Josep Font who exited his role as Creative Director in September.

Now, the Spanish brand has confirmed that Lutz Huelle will take the helm at the brand, effective immediately.

Speaking of his new role, the German designer said in a statement, "I have always loved Delpozo for its unique style and positioning, and I'm proud and excited to be part of this new chapter in the history of the house."

Huelle is far from an outsider in the industry, having worked as the head of knitwear at Maison Margiela, in addition to consulting for Max Mara and Brioni and running his own eponymous line.

According to Fashion Network, Huelle "will be responsible for preserving Delpozo’s values as well as expanding the brand’s daywear category to offer a complete wardrobe." He will oversee the F/W'19 collection, which will be available to view by appointment during London Fashion Week and his first collection will be for S/S' 20.

The countdown is on.
