From net-a-porter founder Natalie Massenet to Cara Delevingne, Debrett's unveil its list of the 20 most influential names in the British fashion industry

As part of its yearly Debrett's 500 list, Debrett's has catalogued 20 of the most influential people in British fashion - celebrating the crème de la crème of those who play an important role in shaping the fashion industry.

The list features a mixture of renowned names, such as Kate Moss and Stella McCartney, and also the likes of Cara Delevingne, who is a relative newcomer to the fashion circuit.

Starting the list is founder and executive chairman of The Net-a-Porter Group, Natalie Massenet. Massenet, who launched the luxury online site in 2000 from her home, went on to sell a 93 per cent share in the company in 2010 for £50 million. The business savvy Massenet also heads up the British Fashion Council in her role as chairman.

The list is also made up of many key fashion designers including Sarah Burton, Phoebe Philo, Christopher Bailey, and Victoria Beckham – who stars in a new fashion trailer, recently released by skype.

12 out of the 20 names listed have been awarded an OBE or MBE from the queen for their contribution to the industry.
