H&M’s upmarket label, COS, and Japanese design firm, Nendo, have joined creative forces for a special exhibition at Salone del Mobile 2014 in celebration of COS’s third year in attendance at the fair

The COS and Nendo installation is innovative and minimal in its concept. It is comprised from a series of white COS button-up shirts, which are displayed on steel stands and hung from the ceiling at different heights throughout the space.

The monochromatic exhibition features both a temporary concept store and the installation, overseen by co-founders of COS, Martin Andersson and Karin Gustafsson and Nendo's chief designer, Oki Sato.

"I feel that Nendo and COS have a lot in common with how we see things, simplicity, purity and focusing on the small details," said Sato, "When you look at a white shirt from COS it explains so much, so I decided to let the shirt do the talking."

The installation is on show until April 13 at Via delle Erbe 2, in the Brera district of Milan, with Nendo's solo exhibition that features the design studio's furniture also on display in the same building.
