Emerging names in Middle Eastern fashion are set to showcase their vision in Dubai as they try to make the final cut for this season's International Woolmark Prize.

The International Woolmark Prize is coming to Dubai for a second season and this year the regional finals are confirmed for July. The menswear and womenswear participants from the Middle East, including Dubai's Varoin Marwah, Bahrain's Matar and Lebanon's Nour Najem and Timi Hayek, will compete with nine other designers from India and Pakistan. In addition to a spot in the grand finals, the winner of this regional round will also receive AED194,000 to go towards their final collections, which will be judged alongside the winners from Asia, Europe, US, British Isles, Australia and New Zealand for the AED556,000 penultimate prize.

In the past, the judging panel has included Lanvin's Bouchra Jarrar, Dame Natalie Massenet, Victoria Beckham as well as Buro 24/7's Miroslava Duma.
