Presenting his Spring/Summer 16 collection at London Fashion Week, Christopher Kane quickly reminded his audience – as if they ever forgot – of his exquisite talent for developing new fabrics and shapes. The innovative designer has always known just how to get all eyes on his collection, and this season wasn't any different.

Kane's industrial-strength daring fashion gave us a full dose of neon splattered with spray-paint that dripped off of jersey dresses and black office suiting for Spring/Summer 16. A far cry from the florals and folkloric collections the New York and London Fashion Week shows have seen over the past two weeks – Kane's new collection showed us what a more edgy, powerful and rebellious spring would look like.

Details of the collection came in the form of unexpected components such as the plastic cable ties that were worn as bracelets, necklaces and hair accessories. Once more delving into the realm of plastic fashion – as only Kane can do – the designer spliced it into geometric shapes inserting the futuristic fabric into asymmetrical dresses. Whilst lace, a fabric so often associated with spring, was seen in the collection, it took on a new form in Christopher Kane's Spring/Summer 16 collection, appearing in acid neon in a retro-feeling dress and top and skirt combination.
