Chloe Cruise 2016

Chloé Cruise 2016, presented by Clare Waight Keller, is a feminine collection of seventies infused floating silhouettes and rock'n’roll leopard prints, framed in luxe fabrics. Crocheted lace maxiskirts, airy cotton dresses in shirting stripes also abounded. Shapes and proportions were played with, seeing lengths exaggerated on skirts and dresses and volume accentuated in sleeves, adding to the drama of the collection.

Erdem Cruise 2016

Erdem Moralioglu said he wanted to look at “how decades look at other decades” for Cruise 2016, designing dresses that he imagined would be Victorian prim but witnessed through a sixties lens, for example, and the result is an ultimately pretty story, told through florals with a largely monochrome base, from which colour sprung. The palette and shapes evoked a gothic undertone, befitting of a Victorian inspiration.

Calvin Klein Collection Cruise 2016

Francisco Costa taps into the art world for Calvin Klein Collection Cruise 2016. Artist Alice Lancaster, a Brooklyn-based painter, became known to Costa via Instagram and she provided the custom prints that adorn the last three looks of the lineup. The rest of the collection is very much in keeping with this modern and current approach. The silhouettes were long and lean, ribbed racer-back tank dresses and tunics worn over mid-length skirts with a flare felt relaxed and contemporary.
